MAHI_007
When designing the Mahi Mahi Superior braided lines, we were convinced that above all, they must be characterized by the highest functional quality. This, of course, determines your satisfaction and ensures that our line supports you during the retrieval of every record- breaking fish. Seeking inspiration, we examined dozens of different fibers available on the market to select the one that would meet all the expectations of modern predator anglers. Over a year of testing and dozens of kilometers of various fibers led us to conclude, that we should search for our Holy Grail in the most developed fishing market in the world – the USA. Spectra fibers, designed by the American company Honeywell, were the only ones that met our very rigorous standards, both in terms of durability and overall quality. We decided to harness their immense potential in our unique production process to offer you the best premium braided line available on the market.

WHAT MAKES SPECTRA FIBERS STAND OUT?

  • Spectra fibers are lighter than most other natural, synthetic, and composite fibers.
  • Spectra fibers are twice as resistant to abrasion as other similar materials and fibers.
  • Spectra fibers exhibit minimal stretch (up to 1 cm per 100 meters).
  • Spectra fibers are 100 times more durable than standard fishing lines.
  • Spectra fibers are highly resistant to UV radiation.
  • Spectra fibers are 15 times stronger than steel.
  • Spectra fibers do not absorb water.

UNIQUE PRODUCTION PROCESS

Spectra fibers are made from polyethylene with an ultra-high molecular weight (UHMWPE). Polyethylene has long been used by many of the top brands specializing in the production of fishing braids. In particular, the Japanese market often features braided lines categorized in the PE class, which uses a different strength rating system than the weight index commonly used in Europe. Due to their structure and exceptionally low diameter, Spectra polyethylene fibers are a technically challenging material, and their proper braiding requires specialized knowledge and appropriately equipped machines. Additionally, to work with Spectra fibers, it is necessary to meet a series of stringent requirements set by Honeywell regarding the preparation of the production line. We are proud to be the only company in Europe accredited and granted exclusive rights to use Spectra fibers in braids produced on Old Continent and Africa.
Our specially prepared production line, which includes hundreds of braiding machines, allows us to braid polyethylene fibers with exceptional precision, ensuring a tight weave regardless of the number of fibers used in a particular model. As a result, we can offer you both 3- and 4-strand braids, as well as advanced 8- and 16-strand Mahi Mahi Superior braids, all of which consistently deliver the best quality. The tight weave significantly reduces the chances of fraying or abrasion, while also preventing water absorption or loss of smoothness in the outer layer. Furthermore, it’s important to mention our patented formula that eliminates the use of any chemical dyes in the production process. This means that our naturally white Mahi Mahi Superior braid is not only more durable but also less prone to reacting with water contaminants, resulting in greater longevity. Simply put, it’s a wise investment for an entire season of fishing.
The production process of our braided lines is exceptionally advanced and includes many stages and procedures that we cannot disclose due to our trade secrets. It took us over a year to lead this process to perfection, ultimately allowing us to offer a product we are as proud of as we are of the fact that it is manufactured in Poland. We also make every effort to ensure that our quality control meets the highest European standards for product craftsmanship, as befits premium-class goods. With this commitment and guiding vision, we are now growing a brand that we fully believe in and wholeheartedly stand behind. A brand that grows with every record-breaking fish landed with Mahi Mahi Superior braid. A brand for anyone who values the highest quality.
